Former President Gerald Ford's funeral motorcade will pass through Alexandria, where Ford lived while serving in Congress, on the way to Washington.
The motorcade is expected to travel through Alexandria tomorrow between five and six p-m.
On its way from Andrews Air Force Base to the Capitol, the motorcade will proceed northbound on Washington Street, from Franklin Street through Old Town Alexandria, and continue north on the George Washington Memorial Parkway into D-C.
Mayor William Euille says he wants the city to find a way to permanently memorialize Ford and his rich history as an Alexandria resident.
