Full Description:

DeMolay International, the world largest youth leadership organization, was started over 80 years ago in Kansas City, Missouri. In over 700 chapters throughout the United States, young men have the opportunity to develop management, leadership and social skills as they participate in community projects, sports, and other educational programs. DeMolay is dedicated to providing a safe environment in an organization for young men who govern and direct their own activities under the supervision of adult advisors. It helps its members to develop a strong sense of civic awareness and responsibility. DeMolay provides young men the opportunity to practice leadership techniques and the real world application of the same through its chapter activities. Typical chapter activities can include basketball, softball, bowling, dances, civic service projects, fund raising events, movie nights, game nights, competitions, and trips. DeMolay welcomes young men between 12 and 21 years of age (from all faiths) who are good citizens. A-W Chapter meets at 2:00pm on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month in the North Room of the George Washington National Masonic Memorial.
